1. Data we collect
When you create an account: your name (optional), email address, and a hashed password. We do not store plaintext passwords.
When you use the service: daily usage counts (messages sent, translations made), saved chat conversations, and Academy lesson progress. This data is tied to your account and used solely to provide the service.
2. How we use your data
To provide and improve the service, enforce usage limits, and send transactional emails (account verification). We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
3. Data storage
Data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Neon (US-East). Email sending uses Resend. The application is hosted on Vercel (US/EU).
4. Cookies
We use one session cookie (httpOnly, secure) to keep you logged in. Anonymous users may have a short-lived usage tracking cookie to enforce free-tier limits — it contains no personal information.
5. Your rights
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing hello@mandenka.org. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
